How do we spend our money?
Below is a List of Accomplishments detailing programs the PTSA has supported and items we have purchased for our school in the last two school years (2008/2009 and 2009/2010):
à Purchased a basketball hoop, LL Bean sleds, balls and other equipment for the playground. à Funded field trips for the past two years. à Raised funds for a sunshade to be built on the playground, along with approving two new picnic tables for this area. à Approved over $5,000 each year in teacher requests for classroom and student materials, educational programs, assembly guest speakers and activities. à Approved $3,500 to assist in equipping the new WES computer lab. à Funded Starz 4 Broadway and Colors Day events. à Funded two nutritional weeks, MEA snacks for all 3rd and 4th graders, oranges for jumpathon participants and kindergarten bulb planting both years. à Participated in National Bus and Teacher Appreciation Weeks, providing week-long events for both! à Ran successful family events such as: welcome breakfast, fall festival, daddy/daughter dance, mother/son Seadogs game, ice cream social and movie night. à Organized very successful fundraisers including a catalog sale, boxtops and Hannaford Helps Schools collections, two consignment sales each year, two scrapbooking events each year and our first annual Wheels Around event this past spring all with the help of our members, school family and community!
